A native New Yorker born and raised in the South Bronx, Idsel Rosas documents her city not only from the ground up but from the digital spaces & representations seen on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, etc. Her research interests are in capitalism, classism, and neoliberalism often found in metropolises.
She is a current graduate student and researcher at NYU Steinhardt Media, Culture and Communication. Her current project focuses on the relationship between content creators & content creation and cities, primarily New York City post COVID-19 whilst considering the changing cultural and labor landscapes.
